Verdant Ashes of Bealtaine
An extremely limited seasonal batch of a fabled powder, born from blessed fire of rare potency.
15mL - 0.5oz
Comes in an aluminium tin jar.
Description
This powder is composed of Bealtaine Fire ashes gathered from the embers of Apple, Birch, Hazelnut, and Hawthorn woods, ritually harvested and burnt on the sunset of Walpurgis Night - with the addition of Cherry and Palm Trees as kindling. All woods have been chosen for their traditional properties and sacred folklore, granting passage to and knowledge of various Otherworlds - qualities especially relevant to the liminality of the season. Left in the firepit under the stars to be blessed at dawn with drops of dew on Bealtaine’s Day, they have then been meticulously pulverised to a finely ground dust, each grain imbued with the emboldening power of this most holy Quarter day, second of the ritual year. Mixed with high quality green ochre, the pigment holding within it the verdant powers of the land, alluding to sap rising and spilling in fertile woods; each batch is topped with crushed red rose petals hand picked from Briar’s own garden.
These ashes have been fervently prayed over, their powers augmented by incantations and blessings to assist in all manners of joyous ecstasies and trances, communion with genius locii and spirits of the season - along with exorcism, uncrossing, and protection, as befits the lore of the Four Fire Festivals.
Purpose & Application
When properly prepared and invoked, this powder possess the power to revivify and arouse, imbuing the wearer with allure. In moments of dire need, they may also render the user invisible or favourable to the Gentry.
To use, apply this mixture of consecrated pigment and fire, flame and earth, on the desired body parts, to draw sigils, symbols, runes or feda, or simply stain and green the skin, invoking their sanctified essence to draw forth generative and creative powers.
Sprinkle as you would in charm bags or ritual baths, or use also to draw your magical circles. These ashes can be liberally blended with other substances or used to dress candles or craft oils. Their applications are vast, and they enhance almost any work that aligns with their purpose.
Additional Information
We prioritise using wildcrafted materials whenever possible, carefully harvested or collected during significant times. Our ashes are entirely pure, with no fillers or additives. We do not use chemical lighters or fuel to light our bonfires.
Each batch is ritually purified, blended, and consecrated during potent folk timing, then allowed to rest for an entire lunar cycle.
